Does anyone have experience with the Tera Flex Nomad wheels? I'm thinking of buying a set.

They seem nice and all, the “auto” air down feature is a cool idea. However thats alot of money for 5 wheels. I think MOST people arent going to go this route when they can buy wheels for like half that and get a $30 deflator. Unless money isnt a factor obviously..Last I saw they were like 360 bucks per wheel or somethin like that. I say pull the trigger tho if you really want them tho.

Just from looking at them is the release valve is in a prime spot to be hot with rocks and broken off. I don't get why terraflex is loving putting adjustable valves in rock magnets areas.

It does look like they have provisions for a rock ring option but the are not selling one at this time, but that would solve the back issue.

The deluxe kit includes a black rash ring that is replaceable. This has all the bells and whistels for 314$/wheel. I am going to buy some but waiting for the red rash ring to be available. I believe it wil lbe soon.

I totally agree. Lots of cool features, just haven't seen anyone review them. Maybe I'll just have to try them.

If there is any issue with one of those release valves, you won’t be able to keep air in the tire. That could be a concern.

We installed 2 sets already, and have noticed a couple of things. The air release on the loaded wheels is adjustable with the allen head grub screw, to make air come out faster/slower, or tighten all the way so passerby's don't release you to 0 in the Mall Parking lot.

In order to hit the release valves, it would have to be a pretty particular rock, that would most likely be doing serious damage to any wheel/tire combo.

Time will tell, but these are observations at this point.

I have have had mine for couple months and had no issues with air in tires. Have aired down once. I set the tire pressure on the air down valve to be highest possible, which seems to be around 18-20psi? if I want it lower I use a arb guage/air release valve.

Would really like to upgrade to these wheels. As much as I want some beadlocks the $400+ a wheel is more than my local dealer can get the nomad wheels. Might be my tax time upgrade, but would like to throw some 35x12.50/R17 nitto trail grapplers.

I wish beadlocks were $315 each.
Exactly and one of the reviewers were saying they tested the wheels down to basically the psi that you can drive beadlocks down to. The valves I am a little concerned about but this is my daily driver so serious rock crawling won’t be happening for at least some years in this Jeep. I’ll have to post my review of them when I go with the group too peacock flats out here in Hawaii next time, and take some pics. Hopefully all of my parts will be on it, even though I would like some 35’s eventually.

I will say though, I think if you get the rash rings it is in beadlock price range. At $75 each you're looking at $390 a wheel. That's maybe $10 off from a set of raceline monster beadlocks .

How about I say I got a deal of around $280, and if I was worried about the rash rings I could probably get them at not a bad price either. If I could get better deals on the beadlocks I’d get those but I’m not going to pass up a distributor that can get me parts in general at a awesome price.
