I think... from what I have heard ....you can no longer buy a Tazer JL Mini from Northridge 4x4. Yes, you can buy the Tazer JL and Tazer JL Lite but no longer the Mini. Yes, you will see the Mini listed at Northridge 4x4 but....

Suggest buying right from ZAutomotive.

It's interesting you mention this. I ordered a Tazer JL Mini recently from Northridge. I received the box Friday, and it was a regular Tazer JL, not the Mini. The box was shipped directly from ZAutomotive. I contacted Northridge and they wanted pictures confirming the two-piece setup I received. Once I sent that, they contacted ZAutomotive, who promised to send the correct one out Monday. We'll see what happens.

Edit: Looking at the box, it actually came from someone called Part Alliance. Not sure if that's affiliated with ZAutomotive.

And you are 100% right you are looking at our site at a time we are out of them but 50 are scheduled to be delivered in two days. So in two days all backorders and all new orders will ship right out. We do run out of things from time to time it does happen.

In response to the warranty. I honestly don’t feel like they should even sell a warranty. If somebody buys a taser from Northridge and you have an issue with it we will warranty it out for you. No charge...

If you prefer to buy direct from the mfg than by all means do it.

Had a question.. Does the tazer mini installed void jeep warranty?

That is a loaded question.

In general, no aftermarket part you add will void the warranty, unless that part causes the problem. For more info, check out the Magnussen Moss act of 1974.

Basically the dealer would have to prove any mod you did caused the problem. If you install a supercharger and blow the engine/tranmission you really have no argument. On the other hand, if you install a Tazer and your muffler falls off, the dealer would be hard pressed to prove it was the Tazer's fault.

The cool thing about the Tazer is that it installs and uninstalls in minutes. If you are taking it into the dealer for work, just "un-marry" the unit and remove it.

I received my Tazer JL Mini yesterday and am having problems marrying it to my JLU. I have emailed Z Automotive with details but they have been unresponsive. I don’t see them on the forum here and they don’t provide a phone number for support. Any suggestions on where to go for help with this install?

Thinking of getting the tazer but quick question? when programming non-led lights for led does the tazer have to stay connected or just plug in then reprogram and remove tazer.

I believe that the Tazer can be unplugged for this. The Tazer has to be plugged in for live functions (like ESS disable).
