Tazer vs Flashcal vs other JL programmers

Quick question that I'm sure has been covered... if I use the Tazer to change tire size, will the dealer be able to tell? If so, will it affect my warranty?

No, and all those worried about the dealer giving you grief about using a tuner need to look up the Magnussen/Moss act. The burden is on them to prove that any modification caused the warranty issue you are trying to get covered. Run into this all the time with Harley guys. I take my bike in all the time with the tuner installed. They simply don't care.

I think it depends on which features you're trying to use.

Are any of them able to change the threshold at which the lights automatically turn on or off? I have my windshield tinted which obviously effects the sensor and the turn on too soon and stay on too long and sometimes turn on and off in the middle of the day depending on the shading.

I’m guessing from the crickets that none of them do this. Is it even possible @joe@zauto

Suggest you do a forum search using the words Tazer, Tazer JL. Tazer JL Lite, Tazer JL Mini. Also Flashcal, Trailcal.

You will find lots and lots of pertinent info along with a forum poll that suggests most here have gone with the Tazer JL.

Of course, if you are looking for tune options / abilities, do go with Superchips. Of course, that means you are willing to spend $600+ on their device.

I went with the Tazer mini. I like the fact that it is compact and out the of way and don't have to have something plugged into my ODB port. Also Joe seems to be rather active in the forum and takes recommendations for what people want to see.

What are you getting? What are the pros/cons/differences of each? I believe this is the first time tazer has this for a wrangler and flashcal has done it for years. What else?
