Thanks to the Z Team for the info :). We encourage consumers to check out our website, forum threads detailing product features, and call us any time (888.227.2447) if you have questions about what we do and how we do it. We're excited to be a part of this forum and respect the fact that others compete to earn consumer's business. We're confident that we have earned a reputation in the Jeep® space as a trusted brand that tries to go about bringing value, control, and style to consumers in the most meaningful fashion. The Jeep® market is extremely important to us and we have invested, and continue to invest, in creating an extraordinary driving experience to our customers.

We attend consumer events across the country, host meet n' greets with local Jeep® clubs, support off road organizations, drive our own rigs, test on our in-house vehicles, and make consumer reviews available on our website for people to make their own decisions. One thing we know for certain is that the consumer is the boss. We listen to the consumer and work to try and incorporate the performance settings and features that create value. That's what we are on this forum and it is what we plan to do. This is why you've seen us invest in cold air intakes, LED lighting, and things like our EAS Power Switch accessory that allows you to link up aftermarket accessories to power on/off directly from an on-dash display. We have some exciting things in the works for the JL, in addition to the Flashcal (priced at $249.95 - didn't see that on the chart), and appreciate getting to see real-time feedback from real-time users. Stay "tuned" :)

Got my flashcal in and am kind of disappointed in the accuracy of it. I'm running 35x12.5-17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers and they measure almost dead on at 35 when sitting on the ground. I set the flashcal to a 35 and was 5 mph off, since I was about 5mph already at 75 it was a 10mph swing.

I had to dial it all the way back to 33.75 and it still says I am a mph high (GPS verified) and if I go to 33.50 I am 1mph low. No way to get it on par with GPS.

Just a little confused why the flashcal would be so wildly off and unable to get the mph GPS accurate. Before you ask, yes I made sure it was updated prior to use.

The other settings are cool like adjusting DRL but not what I wanted the flashcal for.

The only programmer I've seen that was dead on was the AEV Pro-Cal on the JK.

Dynamic rolling circumference needs to be written to the vehicle, not the actual circumference or it’ll be off; took me a while to realize that when creating the Tazer JL. But that’s why the Tazer JL is dead on (though the amount of tire dynamic droop depends on sidewalk height and tire type, air pressure, etc so it needs to be averaged...

You’ll have to set a lower tire size most likely to get it to show the right speed with the FC. I’m sure they’ll have an update for it once they make the adjustment.

Joe,
Is it possible to add a feature to the Remote Proximity Keyless Entry proximity door locks, so they lock when you walk away from the Jeep? (Similar to a Chevy Impala).

That would be awesome.

I’m already messing with this system; time will tell how far I can get.
Also adding the whole system to my own JL...

Go out with a piece of string and run it around your tire to get the true circumference with the air pressure your running, keep in mind as well your circumference changes as your tires warm up. Also keep in mind the tolerance of most GPS apps or stand alone units is +\- 1% and same goes for your speedometer which are about +/- 2.5% - so get as close as possible - with these tolerances they won’t always match up 100%.

I am running a 285/75/17 tire and I am off anywhere from 2-4mph depending on which GPS unit I am using.

So the Tazer can't read DTCs?

So the AutoPark disable feature does not work on FlashCal? How do we know?

So with the 7" touchscreen, the Tazer will allow me to view the backup camera at any time regardless of transmission setting?

One more question...out of the Tazer or FlashCal, which is most likely to cause warranty issues if the dealership decides to be nitpicky?

Tazer can’t currently read DTC’s but I’ll be adding that capability. I never needed to for the cars as they had code reading built into the dash when configured as an SRT...

Yes you can currently tap a button on your screen to turn on the backup cam while driving, but it’ll turn off after 10 seconds of going 20mph or more. With the tazer it won’t turn off.

They both leave the exact same footprint. It’s not much for a dealer to see and they have to look for it, but any config tool, be it Tazer JL, Flashcal, Hypertech, or AEV when they release theirs, will leave the same traces.

Is the Tazer sold through Summit Racing, Quadratec, etc. or is it via the manufacturer directly?
