@Rhinebeck01

I apologize if I sounded like I was questioning your knowledge or if I came across as calling you out, wasn't.

I was attempting to point out that my Tazer will not remember settings, 11.0.6 and from day one.

I emailed Joe, I don't remember when it was, and was told it wouldn't.

So now I am very excited to know it does, but not mine.

I have emailed tech support to figure out why.

Thanks.

The tazer does not save previous settings, so when you re-marry it, it’s the same as marrying it for the first time.

Is there a code or menu I am missing?

I am using 11.0.6

Thanks,

That’s strange that they would say that, it definitely does remember settings, except for TPMS setpoints I think.

This is my problem with all this. We say it remembers but mine has never done that and Z says it won't.

It should as I make a lot of changes and would like it to remember so I don't spend all that time re-entering them.

Interesting..........

It does not. When it unmarries, it releases all settings (so it can be used on that Jeep again or another one)

I have heard both ways and mine does not save any settings, unless there is a setting i haven't seen and checked yet.

Thanks Joe.

Maybe it changed in a later version of the firmware? I haven't updated mine in quite a while.

So I thought I read on another thread that the marry/unmarry process was simply a backup. Marrying the Tazer would back up the current configuration of the Jeep and stores it on the Tazer. Then making edits to the configuration using the Tazer saves it to the Jeep. Unmarrying restores the original configuration.

I might be wrong.

Marry stores the stock settings on the Tazer and un-marry reverts to them. It does not store your updated settings on un-marry, so when you re-marry, you need to re-set them. This was something I read from another quoted email from the owner of the company involved. The quote you posted was from the owner of the company that makes the Tazer, I would rely on the information he post(s/ed) over other information you find elsewhere.

I have a jlus and bought a tazer lite and hooked it up last week to adjust for going to 315/70/17 tires. It worked well until I swapped in jlur axles on Saturday and changed gearing in the tazer to 4.10. Now, I have the A with a circle around it(Auto stop start) alert that keeps annoyingly popping up. I rebooted and unmarried and tried to redo it and it popped up again. I tried to clear CLU's and it's not helping. I've spent over am hour texting with the owner/developer of Z automotive trying to fix it. It's a shame you cant call them to solve issues. He seems to have no solution and is claiming my batteries may be low. I've driven 3 hrs today and the alert is still there. I have a friend who also struggled with this when regearing. I'm considering trying a flash cal.

I’m having the same problem with my new Tazer and the Uconnect App. I’ve had my Jeep since May and use the app to start my Jeep remotely all the time. I got the Tazer JL for Christmas and it has completely rendered my app useless. It won’t update the info and none of the remote options work anymore.

When I was using progressive snapshot in my OBD port I was not getting vehicle health reports and the mileage, oil life, etc was not updating in the app. Remote lock worked though. After taking it in for service with no solution, I remembered the snapshit device, so I unplugged it and drove around the block, suddenly everything stated updating.

We purchased our Jeep on June 14th and I ordered the Tazer on the 20th of June. Install it about 4 days later. My UConnect app works on my IPhone with no problems with the Tazer married and connected to the Jeep so I can use the life features. When I first tried the UConnect app I had to get them to reset my PIN number. Since that was done I haven’t had any problems at all. All the features work when using it on my 8.4 system.

@#HERJL18

The TazerJL is not doing what you are spewing.

Look for another reason for your issue.

Same with me. I have tried it several times, so having something plugged in is a security issue for me. I use it, only when I need it.
