Does anyone know a way to make a Tazer Mini more reliable when using lockers in 4H? Maybe 80% of the time when we try using a locker in 4H it will tell us to go into 4L.. Tazer is running firmware 11.2.1 which is the latest version. We've tried multiple full reboots, letting her Wrangler sit for 15-20 minutes without the FOB anywhere near it, and tried unmarry/marry a few times. The Tazer just seems completely hit or miss with her Rubicon and she's pretty disappointed spending $350 for something that sometimes works.

The cluster will lie sometimes and inform her a locker is off, when in reality its actually on. Everything seems to work great in 4L and we haven't tried any 2WD locker action. We've read where we can remap the cruise control buttons for lockers, but all we seem to do is enter winch mode, rock crawl mode, or toggle line lock.

I am having similar issue with swaykill. Very sporadic. What works for me is to come to a full stop and then engage swaykill. Try that with the lockers.

We were out last weekend and had no issues with swaykill when using the steering wheel buttons. We were at a dead stop in 2WD when we disabled it, and it stayed off the whole day (we stayed under 36MPH).

However we tried lockers with both the steering wheel option and using the locker buttons in 4H. The buttons told us to get bent anytime we tried using them outside of 4L. We tried engaging lockers when stopped and rolling. When using the steering wheel controls the center cluster screen would flash at us saying we needed to be in 4L, but then show us a locked symbol for the diffs... until we started to move. As soon as we moved the screens showed everything was unlocked and the front locker was most definitely unlocked. Offroad Pages showed the same lock/unlocked bullshit.

Kinda sucks that this is one of the main reasons why I bought the tazer.

I have a write here too about the shortcomings of the Mini thinking it was just in a diesel application...looks to be more wide spread.

I'm in less than 30 days and thinking about a return for refund...This is bullshit for that kind of money.

I noticed that too this last weekend. I hit some deep sand in too high of a gear in 4hi. Rocking back and forth got me no where so I tried to engage the lockers in 4hi and I got some message about having to shift into 4lo. Tried a few times to get them to engage with no luck. Shifted to 4lo, lockers engaged without issue, and I drove right out.

Planet JL/JT to Joe......
Oh don't bother... only way he replies is if you send him a message. And then he'll say he can't reproduce and that's it. I went through the trouble of making videos of everything showing the issue and even offering to try beta firmware to find a solution but nothing came out of it. He really seems disinterested.

At least the ESS kill works.... everything else is nonfunctional.

I never heard a peep from him and it's been about 5 months. I actually removed my Tazer months ago to see if I was having issues with my lockers. My Tazer is still sitting in the toolbox and the lockers have been flawless. So either Joe cannot fix the Tazer to work properly or he isn't trying to figure it out.

I pulled my Tazer too...sitting in a drawer in the shop. I bought it with HIGH expectations but it mostly turned out to be a gimmick...a bunch of BS ya can really live without and a bunch of shit that doesn't work as advertised. We've been waiting for the fan mode and winch mode for the diesel for so long, I forgot I even wanted it. Pretty expensive for being nothing more than a DooDad.

I pulled it to go to the dealer and never put it back, maybe someday when (if ever) they get their shit together, I'll reinstall it...but what does Z care, they got their money so no updates and few replies.

Your hard earned $$$ is better spent somewhere else IMO.

Most often mine works in 2wd and 4H. I do notice that other options can be frustrating at times. For Example, it seems like the line lock function only likes to work once from a startup. After I do one burnout, I have to turn off the engine, and wait like 2 mins before restarting and doing another burnout. I do burnouts in my EcoDiesel on 38's.

BTW I have the Mini, and I unmarry it every time I go to the dealership.

When I'm locking the rear lockers in 2wd it says I have to be in 4L, but with a little slow moving back and forth it locks and is fine. The Swaybar disconnect in 2wd likes to be in park before disconnecting, and then it still gives a message about being in 4wd, but it disconnects anyways. Unlocking the locker, it will blink for a few seconds to minutes while trying to unlock. I typically verify it unlocks by turning somewhat sharply and listening for the tires to be sliding. The blinking light can also be frustrating, but I noticed it does this in 4L too, just don't get the 4L message in 4L, obviously. Every once in a while it takes a while to get it locked or unlocked, I figured this was due to maybe a slight bind in the diff?

I have seen some great improvements in the Tazer Mini for my EcoDiesel over the last few months. It was on of the first mods I got! I wanted the lightshow and the locker functionality. Overall, I'm happy with it, even though it defiantly has a few quirks that still needs to be ironed out.

I'm on board the Tazer want's your cash and don't care about the customer bandwagon. What else is there?
