just a quick note to say I installed a Tazer-Mini today in my 2018 Rubicon JLU.
I talked with joe@zauto through a couple PMs, and ordered Monday night. It arrived today, and installation took about 30 seconds. unplug the two wires above the OBD2 connector, plug them into the Mini, and Bob's your uncle. You can't miss the two wires, they are literally 2" above the OBD2 connector, and they only plug in one-way.
All I actually did was set my tire size; I had recently (last week) put 37" Nittos and a 2.5" JKS lift on the Jeep, and the speedometer was way off - like 9mph off at 70mph.
I went to the directions, married the Mini to the Jeep. did a full reboot. set tire size, did a full reboot.
I did go to start the Jeep - it started, then turned off - completely off - with some red dot on the dash, and auto-stop-start error or something. after that, it wouldn't start up. So I powered the Jeep all the way down, waited a minute or so, got back in, and rebooted the Mini one more time. After that the Jeep cranked up.
After changing the tire size, I tested the speedometer up to 60mph with a phone-GPS and it was spot-on. good enough for me.
Got home, did another full-reboot just because, and got the jeep-don't-start thing again. but waited a sec, and it started up fine. I think I wasn't giving it enough time between reboots, even with the countdown showing and I waited for that to go to zero.
Seems to be a pretty solid little device. I kept my factory rims and tires, so having the ability to reset my tire size at any time was worth the cost. I could have gone with the 'lite' version to just do that, but who knows, I may explore the rest of the options at some point. auto-stop-start would be next on my list; and maybe cameras.
anyway - wanted to share the experience and say appreciate the quick response to all my questions (I was pretty much in a chat session with joe@zauto he replied so fast) and the quick delivery. For me, it was exactly what I was looking for - something to save me from driving to the dealership.
