I've been trying to work with the folks at Z Automotive to get them a Diesel Wrangler (or JT, soon) so they can do some testing and also fix a couple of broken features. They are in the New York area and just need someone to drive their 3.0 Ecodiesel to their shop for a couple hours of testing. The owner is friendly and responds quickly to text or email. And who knows, if you sweet talk them you might get a hook-up.

If anyone in the area is able to help out the community, I'm sure we would all benefit from what their programmers can find.

Give a shout out to Ian @, [email protected]

Much appreciated, Joshua

Shot them an e-mail to see if they are still looking for one.

I pick up my diesel next month. What is not working with the Tazer for our model?

They've responded to my emails and feature requests very timely, although the features have not been forthcoming. What does not work on our diesels, that I've seen is there is no winch mode and no cooldown mode for the fan.

I've been in touch with them pleading with for the fan mode to be activated while the vehicle is is motion ie. going up a grade...They say the engineers are working on it and hopefully it will be added and released.

Not sure about the rest of you EcoDiesel owners, but mine runs very warm and upon pulling a grade it rises up substantially. Pulling a trailer it's really bad. I've been to the dealer, talked to JeepCares and they both say "It's working within design parameters"...Hitting 248°f and defuling is a shitty parameter IMO. The only relief I can see is getting the fan to run on HIGH prior to the heat getting out of control.

I'm running the Tazer and would appreciate the added features of cooldown fan and winch rpm settings, but am thrilled with the ability to use the rear locker in 2wd, cargo cam for front camera, and getting rid of that insane start stop system. I believe someone who has money in starter motors thought that one up....

I talked to Z Auto 6 months ago about winch mode, they said they were waiting for a diesel to test on then. Don't think they are in any hurry to get it fixed.

I have an update. We got a local JLUR-D over to them and the patches are in Alpha phases right now. Everything is working and with luck will be pushed out in the next update.
Thanks to LottaBoot

Hoping I can use winch mode as a high idle too, hopefully you can adjust the RPM

New update is out for the diesel!
Just tested it out, let me say that it does work(except for cool down). However it's a little glitchy. Sometimes the winch mode will not engage and will not disengage. Takes a while to get in and out of the modes. Tried reving to get out of winch mode did not work. Tried putting in gear as well will not work. (worked on a 2.0L iirc). Cool down mode did not work for me at all. It showed the message saying fan is on but it's not. Just going to wait for a patch to fix the problems.

Great, another fugg'd up software release. I'm not even gonna' scar up my hands updating and installing this POS "Z" module until it has a few more updates. What a frigg'n waste of money...Just a lesson learned I guess...Like they say, "A man and his money are easily separated"
