Nope nope...
It’s a manual transmission. You probably put tires 33” or bigger. When you do that, you need to do the 6th gear relearn procedure or you’ll get an ESS error when you get it I 6th...
I’ll find a link to it, I see now it’s missing from my website!
Huh, today I learned…. great info, Joe. I’m also in a manual, but still have my stock 33” KO2’s. This tidbit will be very useful when I get new shoes!!

Thank you! I won't be able to do the relearn until tomorrow but I bet that is exactly it. I've been outside reseating all my fuses lol. (its crazy how many of them were loose on a brand new Jeep)

I will report back once I've finished the relearn.

Mine does this whenever I unmarry the Tazer. When the Tazer is married and tire size is set correctly, it doesn't do that. I'm running 35's (34.6" to be precise).

So be sure your tire size is set correctly.

I've never heard of the 6th gear relearn procedure. Maybe I'm doing it and don't even know it.

I did the relearn for 6th the other day. Fixes the Stop/Start and backup sensors like a champ.

I just upgraded the firmware on my tazer. There are some really cool new features I like
  • Garage door buttons work for 30 seconds after jeep is turned off.
  • flashing 3rd brake light
  • auto heated passenger seat
love it!

hey Joe, a couple of things about the flashing 3rd brake light
  • Fast and medium look the same
  • would be nice to have a slow flash for say 3 seconds then solid for 3 seconds then repeat

Ok it’s now on the Tazer JL mini and lite product pages, under the instructions tab.

I just wanted to report back that the 6th gear relearn worked great! Finding 20-30 seconds of roadway in 6th without a Prius or CRV cutting me off proved to be the hardest part.

Thank you again. Awesome product and I love the support!

I just updated mine and now I have to keep pushing to turn off the auto start-stop, it's not remembering like in the previous version.

No issues with mine. I'm at 11.2.7.

ESS/Auto Stop-Start memory is a live function. A reboot shouldn't be required for that to work.

I updated my Tazer Mini a few days ago without issue. Simply unplugged, updated and plugged back in.

Agree. Live function. However, if you unmarried (have no clue if he did) you may want to run through process. Having a MacBook not MS pc it is suggested to unmarry for updates. So was just offering up a suggestion. :like:

Yeah, forgot about the need to unmarry if using a Mac. 👍
