I personally would not upgrade to 11.07 before taking a road trip, several had reported possible issues so no need to take a chance, but if you choose to do so you can down grade you will just need the cable and laptop along with the revision you are wanting to go down to
Oh! I was thinking to update today, and test them out ahead of the trip, I'd flash back before the trip if I had any issues. There are a couple features in the new firmware I'd love to have for the trip.s

Sure go ahead but proceed carefully and make sure to go back to a non beta revision before traveling

So with Joe's blessing. I performed the following tasks

1. Unmarried the Tazer and removed
2. Flashed the Tazer to 11.07
3. Installed the Tazer. Did a full reboot. No issue with boot loop
4. Married the Tazer. Did a full reboot. No issue with boot loop
5. Changed Tire Size, TPMS, and LED Fogs. Did a full reboot. No issue with boot loop
6. Removed the Tazer and plugged the two wiring harnesses back into the Jeep.

The only thing I did different previously was accidentally enable winch mode a few times, and turned TURNCAM ON and back OFF cause it had issues. That's when I noticed the boot loop.

@b1er

Can you please post here if you can concurrently (at the same time) have the panic button on the fob disabled and the hood alarm enabled.

My guess it you will have to chose one or the other. Doubtful you could have both at the same time. Anyway, please would you, confirm my suspicions. Thanks!
I played around with it more today. I saw the panic button switch but couldn't find the hood alarm so I put it back the way it was after I turned off the turncam... that thing got annoying

Just some info:

Tazer JL, Tazer JL Mini, and Tazer JL Lite all have the same circuits and run the same software. The Tazer JL uses an OBD plug-in that contains all the electronics, and a bypass module which is nothing more than a passive connector.
The Tazer JL circuit was crammed into that little bypass module, creating the Mini and Lite. It’s truly just a well packed version. The Lite is just feature limited by software, hence upgradable.

I spent the better part of the day trying to replicate this bootloop, charring with customers about their setups, and no matter what I try I couldn’t get it to fail. So this thread with people listing their build and settings could be helpful.

Please add to the posts if you used any of the live features before noticing the problem; perhaps turncam or trying out one of the new features... all detail helps.

Chatted with Joe and I’m going to start doing some testing with 11.06 and start with vehicle settings only and remove the Tazer after they are set and run 3-4 weeks and monitor correct operation of ESS and other normal functions not affected by what I change and I will also be doing battery checks at the source and not using what’s displayed at the EVIC as that’s what the alternator is putting out to the battery, yes it’s also going to be monitored as I know what it’s been doing for the last 3 weeks so I have a good baseline but it’s not the true battery voltage.

Just updated. About to go test the lockers, and sway bars, and trying to figure out if anything needs to happen to get the "blackout" working.

I noted that my camera turns on, if I put my blinker on. I really like this, and never thought of it before.
Question? I have downloaded the new fireware, when I go to set it up in the Jeep I cant find the new options. Where did you or how did you find them?

11.06 is a production build. If I we're Joe, I'd have you testing on 11.07. Let's fail forward.
Baby steps brother, slow and steady wins the race and my overly active OCD won’t allow me to do that as I was on 11.06 when my battery failed

Stupid question but did you marry it to the JL, all functions won’t show up until it married to the Jeep

Joe@zauto any way you can add a debugger to those that have had the issue and can replicate it? It might drain another batter but maybe they’re willing to do it?

Well I didn’t have the boot loop yet my battery was dead two days after installing 11.0.7. I did play a lot with the lockers in 2wd and 4hi as well as swaykill.

Now that my battery is fully restored and the tazer is unmarried I’ve been testing the battery with a multi tester every morning and writing down the results. After a week I will marry 11.0.6 to set TPMS and tires size and unplug the tazer but leave it married. I will test the battery with the multi tester each morn8ng for another week to see how it goes.

@tmakaro this is pretty much where I will be starting, I plan to also change TPMS limits as well so I can lower my pressure on tires, so far with no programmer installed or married to the Jeep all functions are performing as designed

How long does it take for your battery to die?

Is this an overnight thing or 3-4 hours?

Thanks,
