@ar15rifle

And you also see this > "Voltage at 14.0-14.7 all of the time." ??

--------------

When I had my Tazer JL and Tazer JL Min (I have had both) installed, the JL always ran voltage at 14.0-14.7 all of the time. I had a battery depletion, one time requiring that I jump start the JL.

Anyway, removed the Tazer about 4 weeks ago and have driven 4,000 mi. +. Not once has the voltage reading gone above 13.5 per 8.4 radio, Off Road Pages, display. I monitor closely.

This alone, tells me something is a muck lets say. I do not need to monitor my JL with a voltage meter to know this.

I was running 11.0.6 firmware. The issues, happened with the Tazer JL and the Tazer JL Mini.

My Tazer JL Mini is unmarried, and is still sitting in a drawer in the garage. I can't risk getting stranded due to battery depletion. Yes, I miss using the Tazer JL Min, Live Features, but ..............

.
I’ve never paid attention to the voltage as it’s never been an issue. I can check when I get home in a few weeks.

How long does it take for the Jeep battery to deplete?

This is weird.

Think I am going to unmarry and put it away till someone figures this out.
Changed my mind.

i am leaving it as I am having no problems with any settings, batteries, or Tazer functions.

My voltage is at specifications for my Jeep says the Dealer and 2 ASE mechanics, as well as myself.

If I have a problem, things might change, but not now.

BTW, ESS kill works very well.

There are lots of Tazer users out there running 11.07 without any issues but I’m sure on the next release we will see changes

Quick question, can the firmware be rolled back? I need to get the flicker fixed on my LED fogs so I’m willing to give the beta a try. I just want to be sure I can roll it back.

@Sgt Beavis

Yes, You can just load any firmware version, right over what you already have on the unit. No need to do anything special.

I expect Joe, to have a newer beta firmware available on his website in days or a week or 3.
Presently, 11.007e, beta is available there. This has been available there since 12/14/18.

I’d like to add to this thread as another one that was using the two-piece Tazer JL (11.0.6) with depleted batteries.

Had not driven my Rubicon (3.6l, auto) for a little under 3 weeks and found that remote start didn’t work and battery was too weak to start the engine. After jumpstarting the battery, I get the “Start/Stop Unavailable, Service Stop/Start System” message.

Took it to the dealership and was told both batteries were dead and after being replaced, they kept my Wrangler for a few days to run tests for parasitic draws (didn’t have Tazer installed at dealer, obviously). Dealer didn’t find any parasitic draws and just said bad batteries.

I’ve been using a Tazer since September. Only settings I have changed are cargo cam, DRL, LED turn signals, TravelLink, and In Motion.

Since my batteries have been replaced I’ve the same (non-live) settings, kept the Tazer married, but unplugged it just to be in the safe side. If running a Tazer plugged in does happen to drain the batteries, I don’t think I can go back to my dealership again with the same issue.

My main question is ESS kill no longer live function. Does that mean you don't have to have the Tazer plugged in the vehicle. If it has to be plugged in to work than I would not call it a non live feature, unless I am missing something.
