Well Tazer finally figured out how to get video on the 8.4" using an Amazon Firestick.

I quote..

"Finally was able to get video and audio piped through on the JL’s UAQ radio. All other UAQ/UAS to follow. Here’s a Firestick playing “El Camino” on the JL 8.4 screen."

Hmm. All I did was jailbreak my phone and I could duplicate the screen on my 7” uConnect. But I’m glad there’s other ways out there!

Apple, iOS 12.0. A tweak called NGXPlay which I’m not sure is available on Android.

For the judgemental types, consider the possibility that there are many overlanding, land navigation, and off-roading related applications that this could be used for; it’s not limited to streaming episodes of The Office :like:

I'd be more excited if we could use cruise control under 20MPH.

I'd be more excited if we could get rid of the pesky weather alerts.
There is an option in the Tazer menu to turn them off.

And there is also a Supplier Mode to disable them as well. I havent tried that method yet though.

I'm interested. Does it turn off both traffic and weather at the same time of independently? Has anyone actually done it?

I'd be more excited if we could get rid of the pesky weather alerts for conditions hundreds of miles away.
It’s under the sub radio menu. It should be the last setting called “travel link”.
This setting adds the ability to disable SiriusXM Travel Link, which turns off the
weather pop-ups. Also disables SiriusXM Traffic information.
