It popped out of the socket and when someone tried to close the tailgate it bent.. so… here we are.

Well, you might see if dealer will replace under warranty... it should not just have popped out...

Or buy and replace yourself..

maybe. I have a Motobilt Spare Tire Carrier that replaces the hinges. I never tested it but I assumed that is what causes it to even be able to pop out?
