When I bought my reinforcement panel on FB marketplace, it also came with the oversize tire kit brackets but didn't come with the extended bumpstops. Since I didn't want to pay the insane prices of Oversize Tire Kit extended bumpstop (68413710AA), decided to look into some other options besides DIY.

Due to feeling pretty indecisive (based on reviews here and on Amazon), and Amazon's generous return policy, I bought a couple different sets to see what would work:

Pictured from top to bottom we have:

* My original OEM bumpstops (68290297AA). Too short, and why I was here.

* Amazon copy of the slightly longer bumpstop in the Tailgate reinforcement kit instructions (68297542AA): https://www.amazon.com/Carrier-Bumper-Exterior-Accessories-Wrangler/dp/B08SWDSQQK. More rigid than OEM, had a tail similar to OEM that broke off during an attempted install. Also too short once I got one in.

* The energy suspension bumpstops: https://www.amazon.com/Energy-Suspension-2-9105G-SPARE-BUMPER/dp/B01IDM1OCE. Feel high quality but kind of oily. Read a lot of reviews of them not fitting right without work, didn't end up trying them out.

* Quadratec bumpstops: https://www.quadratec.com/p/quadratec/tailgate-spare-tire-bump-stop-kit-wrangler-jk-jl. Rubber pliable like OEM, nice long tail, slipped in pretty easily

* Daystar JK kit: https://www.amazon.com/Daystar-Wrangler-Tailgate-polyurethane-KJ09144BK/dp/B001GH1OPG. Looks the most like the Overize Tire Kit bumpstop, but I agree with everyone here who say they feel like Nerf foam. They also are the only ones that are solid instead of having a hole in the middle. Didn't try installing.

I ended up going with the Quadratec, think it's the best overall out of all of them.

Thank you guys for posting up this information. When I got my new wheels I didn't even think about it. After reading this I went and looked, and because the wheels are zero offset, dam it, they were not touching the bump stops.

So off to Lowe's I went. Good thing I did this to. Upon removing the spare the bottom lug spun off with my fingers, and the other two only required about half a turn with a wrench. Dam supposed tech's. Fricken wheel could kill someone and or total a vehicle if it came off.

This is after I specifically asked and gave the torque specs for the wheels and the spare and requested everything be hand torqued. So at this point I went around and checked all the lugs on the wheels. According to my torque wrench they were all a little under the 130 foot pounds.

Then I fixed the spare issue, and torqued it.
