Anyone running the 2” coils on there Rubi with split fenders and 37’s? Considering dropping down from the 3” coils to the 2” and splitting my fenders.
I'm currently sitting on the Dynatrac Endurosport 2" lift and 38" Milestar Pat's. All fenders chopped and just waiting on rear liners, due on the 14th. I also removed all the filler plastic between the rear bumper and fenders. With the 2" bump stop extensions from the lift kit, the rear tires are hitting the rear pinch seam. Otherwise, I've got plenty of clearance front and back. My wheels are 17x9x4.53 backspace (-12 offset).

I'm needing more height so as soon as the rest of the 3.5" metalcloak parts arrive, I'll be pulling out the Dynatrac parts. By then, I'll already have trimmed the pinch seam and can dial in the bump stops and possible limiting straps.

Feel free to ask for any specific pics

Thanks! With my 37's and 3" coils if I split the fenders they will start looking small so that is why I'm thinking of going down to the 2" and splitting. With my 8.5 wheels/4.5BS I'm hoping I will clear the pinch weld with the right bump height.

Check out fellow member Roky's Jeep. He's on 37's and chopped fenders on 3.5" lift. His looks amazing

That is highly likely, most of their components say 2" minimum bump. When I installed in my garage I didn't have the height to cycle it, and just went by the recommendations. I'll stretch her out in Big Bear over the 4th and come back and tinker with them.
How did the 2" work out for you? I have a Sport with Rubicon flares, 2in starter lift and 35s. Right now have 4in of bump stop because that is what the instructions said. (At the time I installed did not have the rubi flares). The off center rear bump stop really bugs me so I plan on making an adapter for that soon. I don't have a place at home to flex and check myself to see how much I can take out.

2” leaves me with it just kissing at bump. I’m planning on splitting my fenders so that won’t be an issue anymore or when I move to 38’s next year.

Here are some pix of my Stage 1 with steering kit, sector shaft brace, and front and rear links. In Ouray this week so a good way to test it.

Running 35’s.

Not sure I need the upper LCAs or the rear lower LCA. Any reason?

Drives wonderfully. On road it is smooth and stable at 75-80 on the highway (I can one hand drive it) with no wander or dead zone. Off road it is awesome - no more hitting bump stops and it soaks up bumps and ruts so much better.

Trail report - the Synergy setup performed wonderfully on my current Ouray outing. On Imogene Pass, there are a few sections where I was at a 25-30 degree pitch and where my stock Rubicon would have scraped on rocks or smacked a rear bumper as I came off a ledge. My JL handled it without issue. The Fox IFP shocks and coils handled the tougher trails brilliantly.

On the highway the JL is so much more stable. Easy to one hand drive at 80 mph (thank you Montana and Wyoming).

Really impressed by the confidence and handling this rig has now. I did some sections that I wouldn’t have the confidence to have done otherwise on a stock Rubicon. By far my best Jeep mod.

Where in Texas are you? We can help you with any questions if you need it

Brett
Hey Brett, whats your thoughts on running the synergy 1" spring on the back and the 2" on the front to compensate for a heavy bumper and winch on a 2020 jlu rubicon.

Im not a stranger to mixing and matching springs for a particular reason like someone planning to tow their expedition camper and want to compensate for the weight. Any reason in particular you’re considering the synergy?

trying to keep the lift as short as possible and synergy is the only place ive found at this time that offers a 1" lift spring. Im putting a ARB bondi full width bumper and a warn 10k winch on the nose of my jeep. Figured two diff size springs would make keeping the jeep level pretty easy.

that would work. That’s a nice bumper, we installed one a while back. Lots of hardware but goes together nice. My suggestion...take with a grain of salt, order the 2.5” lift for a 2 dr. from metalcloak. You’ll get about 1.5” of lift on a 4 dr and have all the supporting parts in one kit.
