Never upsizes tires before, I plan to buy ko2 315/70/17 for my jlu rubi and use the factory 17x7.5rims.

Then take the 285/70/17 ko2s and put them on my 17 jku on the factory 17x7.5 rims.

Anyone have any insight if I'll hit any issues with rubbing, the 315's fitting the 17x7.5 rims, or any other issues?

Won't be doing any hard off road.just street and maybe a trail in the woods at most.

Also any thoughts on recalibrating the shift points and Speedo, my dealership says they can't do the 315 yet. I haven' asked about the 2017 jku to the 285's yet though
I'm hoping to find a shop to recalibrate both jeeps.

i'm looking for this info again as well. On my '14 JKUR, I had to add wheelspacers to keep it from rubbing on the stock rims. I'm not sure we'd need to do that with the JLUR. I thought I saw people with the 315s on factory rubi rims but can't find them right now. If I need spacers, then I'll probably go ahead and buy new rims this time.

Anyone?

Your JKU will likely rub in full lock turns. My 2014 did with that size tire on stock Rubi wheels. I used 1.5" spacers on each side and never had an issue.

I can't speak to the 35's on the JL but all sides point to fitting without issue. Flexing offroad is likely a different story but wooded trails sound like they'll be fine.
