If it was only your well being great, have at it but there are plenty of people on the road who could be impacted when things go sideways.

The Mopar trailer brake controller worked great! Braking pedal effort was no different than not towing when you set the controller setting correctly. I never felt like it didn't have enough brake.
I have the tow package in my jeep, did not know they came with a brake controller.

I do believe it's available in the JT Max Tow package. And those parts are easy to install in a Wrangler. Though you would need extra wiring if you don't have the tow package.

@Rangemaster

The tow package does not include a "brake controller" but with the tow package you do get/have wiring in place to install brake controller.
Correct. It wasn’t hard to install other than laying upside down on your back in the seat bolting the controller in the correct spot.

Oh I gotcha. You’re worried about everyone else’s well being. Sure. Ok. Cool story.

do you have a Part Number? is it an easy plug and play if you have the tow package?
Mopar 82215652AB

Yes it is plug and play meaning you don't have to splice wires or anything but the install does require center dash disassembly and bolting the controller in the drivers footwell which was a little bit of a pain.
