Anyone order the Sunrider for Hardtop from Factory?

Ours arrived in the box inside Jeep and I have to install, which isn’t a big deal but seems strange that it wasn’t installed at factory?

I'm guessing it's two factors - transport wise less likely to get damaged, and what would they do with the hard top pieces that are removed? I looked at one at the dealer with this option, same thing.

I ordered the Sunrider fliptop for hardtop option too. It became available shortly before I ordered in early August. Thanks for starting this thread. I'm still waiting for delivery and was wondering if it would come pre-installed or not. Based on what you're reporting, it makes sense that they would just throw it in back. With Winter coming soon, I'd rather hold off until Spring to install it. I'm guessing that the two front Freedom Top panels may be better insulated for the cold weather. It's probably pretty easy to install and it will give me a project to look forward to later.

You got the regular freedom panels as well, right? I’m assuming they’re not going to change their hardtop installation process on the line to accommodate the sunrider option when they can just throw it in the jeep. Plus then they’d have to package up the freedom panels that got removed.

it’s the same with the half doors. They aren’t installed, just placed in the jeep.

Yes the freedom panels were on it. I guess I thought the Sunrider would be installed and the freedom panels would be in the freedom panel bag inside Jeep.
I was going to swap for winter anyways so all good.
Just figured I would throw it out there so people realize how it’s coming.

It's a super easy install, takes all of 10 minutes, and uses the Jeep toolkit included with your vehicle. You could swap it at the dealership pretty easily.

It's easily my favorite "mod" on my Jeep - great choice ordering it.

The freedom panels can be easily damaged. Also, if they get re-installed slightly off, you can get a leak.

I rather don’t have anyone removing the freedom panels before delivery; less room for errors that way.

No difference than dual top. Soft top in box in back of Jeep when ordered.
It's 6 bolts. Easy!
