Anyone have pictures of the grey Spiderwebshade on their Jeep?
Trying to decide between black and grey on mine (Granite Crystal Metallic)

What are the two stripes I see on the top front in that picture?
I believe those are the magnetic strips that are used to secure the JTops to the windshield. They let you fold the magnetic strip back so you can add/remove the Freedom Panels

Ok - not sure I like how that looks or the flap at the front. Just doesn’t look as clean installed as some of the others.

I guess it depends on what your looking for. The JTops covers the entire top whereas the bungee systems leave room where the top is stretched along the entire sunshade...

The magnet strips are fine but that flap sticking up at front, is that how that normally lays because the pics on the jtop site don’t quite look like that. Looks like it isn’t tucked into windshield maybe?

Ahh you are correct that gets tucked into the windshield. This video shows the install process

Went with the Alienshade in red. Love the level of shade it provides and no flapping whatsoever even at speeds of 70mph. Only had to loosen the back portion of the freedom hardtop to put over the speaker potion of the roll cage. Shipped to the house in 2 days and was ready for some beachside sun!

how is removing the freedom panels with the shade installed? and if you were to want full sun is it hard to tuck back? I want to wait for the 2 separate system but if its not that hard I might buy the full shade.

Cmarr I haven’t tried to roll the front back. But it would be fairly easy to do. With the notches cut out of the top you could detach the front edge and roll back and use the bungee balls from the front sides to secure.
I was also on the fence about wanting 2 separate shades. I went with the full shade and I’m very happy with it.

Also removing the freedom panels isn’t difficult at all. I’m 6’1” and don’t even notice the sunshade in place.

First of all, I love my spiderwebshade and have gotten great use out of it this summer so far, and have no plans of getting rid of it. Wouldn’t be topless every day without it. Something to be aware of after a month of use, though. The back edge that lays on the cross member of the sport bar does flap in the wind in speeds faster than about 40 mph. The flapping has started sanding down the paint and left quite a few scratches on mine. I’m going to try to polish them out and then come up with a solution. Also, the black plastic knobs on the rear corners have left black marks. Not a huge deal, but if anyone has any ideas to remedy this, let me know. Probably will try attaching some soft fabric to the trailing edge of the shade, and securing it to the cross member to arrest the abrasive movement. I imagine other shades will have this problem, as well. If I didn’t travel on the freeway so much it probably wouldn’t be an issue.
Here is my solution to this problem. I already had the roll from a previous project (that I never did). I got it from AutoZone or maybe Advanced.

Well, hell. I was sold on the thing.. will put it on hold for now. Sorry it's happened, but thanks for the heads up.
