I didn't want one until my wife pushed me to get one for the kids, but they do make a HUGE difference in the sunburn factor.
Which brand did you purchase?

I'm also in TX, and it's almost necessary to be able to drive around in the TX heat and direct sunlight in the summer.
I also like that I don't have to wear my sunglasses unless I'm driving directly into the sunrise/sunset.
Before the shade I forgot my sunglasses on a few occasions and I had to put the top back up b/c my eyes couldn't handle the direct sunlight.

The good news is you don't have to decide now. Wait until the summer and see.

I am in the camp that anything that lets me run top down more I'm getting.

I'm close to TTECris and we usually only get a few days of "winter" here. Sunburns on Christmas are not unusual. I'm trying to figure out how much this shade will help with direct over head sun as well.

You guys use Alien? Spiderweb?

Yeah, I'd like one of the straight American flag prints. But not at $320...
Spiderwebshades quoted me $300 but I felt for the extra money Iā€™d get full coverage of shade, secure buckles vs bungee chords, and I wouldnā€™t have to worry about folding my windshield to put it on or take it off.

I would agree that this for $320 or Spiderweb shade for $300, I would take this.
