Any suggestions when it comes to doing rubicon rims on a stock 2020 sport? Do i need a lift or anything like that? Also would like to see some 2 door setups to give me an idea on what i want to do with mine

Quick word on the Bimini top: I use to have a TJ and bought the Bimini/Bikini top from Bestop. The instructions called for you to latch the top down and then pull a strap in the middle to make it tight. Once you pulled the strap the top would be so tight you could bounce basket ball on it. By accident I didn't lock down the side latches and left the strap loose (very loose). Hopped on the highway with it like that, and it was the most beautiful experience I ever had while driving my Jeep. The top ballooned up like a parachute, causing the rushing air to curve up into the balloon area, then shoot down right onto the top of your head and neck. After that I never even thought of using AC again. I like to think I invented this technique I called in "Ballooning". Point is I wonder if you can do that with the JL Bimini Top. Also it looked really cool.

Welcome to the site! If you search through the Tire/Wheel section, and the Suspension section, you'll get some great ideas of what you can do with a Sport. You can run the Rubicon wheel/tire combo without a lift, but it does look a little stuffed in the fenders, and you may get some rubbing if off-roading.

Here's a before and after of my budget-build '18 Sport. My son and I added the Rubicon suspension, wheels and tires, Mopar tubular side steps, and trimmed the front fender fairings.

Hope that helps ya!

You don't need a lift to put Rubicon wheel and tires on. I don't have Rubicon wheels but I'm running 33's on stock suspension with zero problems.

You can also do a spacer lift. However, you will be the butt of many jokes on this forum if you do.

@Darrenblake

the GREAT news for you if you like Rubicon parts and pieces is that they will fit your sport and you can buy them as “take offs” and save a wad of cash.

bolt some Rubi takeoff rails on there. You can buy them for $50-100 With ZERO wear on them
slam on some Rubi takeoff wheels and tires. Inexpensive. Tires might only have a few hundred miles on them. No problem.
want a Bit more umph? Buy a Rubi takeoff suspension......

start buying, and start bolting. Have fun. your Wallet will thank you.

David nailed it! I agree, get a 4dr rubicon take off suspension, rails and take off wheels/tires and that will have it setting great!

relatively inexpensive way to get the look of a rubicon that’s actually slightly taller than a factory built one will be with the 4dr coils

Since you live in San Marcos you have a pretty good population of Jeep folks within a couple hours in almost all directions. Might post a WTB (Want To Buy) thread in the site classifieds for a Rubi take off suspension & wheels tires, might find the whole setup in one stop :)

I’m betting that the OP could dash over to @rustyshakelford and Brett could fix him up right quick.

absolutely and we get folks from much further out but one thing I’ll say is there’s quite a few of solid shops over in that area which I love to see! It the guys that charge a premium for poor work that drives me nuts!

wed love your business but if you can’t make it over, I can suggest some folks over there that I trust

OP just asked about rims, not tires.
He won't need any modifications to switch out the rims. They're same size and offset.
