Are you seriously suggesting that that single post is more than would have been made to my thread on the main forum? Surely not.
You seem to think that there is something “righteous” about moving a thread to the “proper forum”. Why is that?
The thread was working in the general forum.
Whose interests were served by moving it?
This thread is useless, should be deleted now. The best suggestion given in this thread was the second post.
Op will have a third thread soon.:)

I think LOD is the way to go if I were you.
Agreed. It’s definitely the one I like best. Pricy though.
Still cogitating.
I’ve spent my whole life being frugal.
That’s why I have some money now that I’m retired.
No heirs, and can’t take it with you.
Hard habit to break, though.

Well if you really want to blow some money you could go with Hauk bumpers like mine haha:)

I hate the look of the gargantuan plastic schnozz on my new Jeep.
I would like to replace it with a tidy little stubby bumper.
I don’t want a winch. I will never want a winch. Please trust me on that.
So...I want a good-looking stubby with no holes or other provisions for mounting a winch. Does such a thing exist?
Cost matters too.
I custom build bumpers...

I found the lod destroyer stubby for $380 in bare steel at northridge4x4 in bare steel. I can paint it. And repaint it as needed.
Roughly half retail. But it’s for JK.
Phone salesman says it’s a piece of cake to fit a JK bumper to a JL. He says it might bolt right on, or might need two holes slightly enlarged.
I have a drill. And a Dremel.
But he’s a salesman.
Any thoughts on interchangeability between JK and JL front bumpers?

Ummmm I love a deal as much as the next guy but I think that if you have a JL then you should get a bumper made for a JL. That's just my 2 cents.

Can’t say. There’s a thread titled “ jk to jl compatibility listing “ that might have the information in it somewhere.
