It looks like it fits well. What are the additional keyholes for?

I'm just getting on the hunt for some storage for my new 2 door, that's a cool solution you've come up with.

Not to hijack, but since we're chatting storage and I don't want to start another thread - one thing I've been scouring the forums for (unsuccessfully) is a recommendation on bags that will fit in the small footwell behind the front seats. I have my rear seats removed, and the area behind driver & passenger seat look like good spots for a few duffle style bags that are properly sized to slip right in and stay put during travel. Right now I've got my recovery gear in a duffle that's too big for the spot and jammed into the space, I'd love to find some bags that are "custom" to fit in that space to hold bits and bobs. Anyone have an idea or recommendation?

I've got a pair of the Overland-Outfitters Saddle Bags in my 2 door JLR.

They are a little pricey at $275 US (regular price) for the pair, but I got mine on sale on Valentines Day 2022 for $75.00 off so that helped a little.

The quality of the bags is top notch, they look nice, and they fit a decent amount of gear inside them while also providing a nice armrest for rear seat passengers. I have a 20 foot Kinetic recovery rope, 2 soft shackles, a metal recovery shackle and two pairs of gloves in the passenger side bag. The drive side bag holds a wool blanket, a thermal space blanket, two hats, candles and some emergency food.

I’ve got a set of old motorcycle pannier liners (I think they were from my ‘07 1050 Tiger). Size shape works pretty well. I had them, tried them, and found they do OK for me. The ones for the old Multistrada were similar size/shape.

Now you have me thinking about buying these. I would be stuffing a 6 ton bottle jack and some extension tubes in them -- do you think they would hold up to the weight, bouncing offroad?

I would definitely not put a bottle jack in these since they're attached by a zipper to a strap that's held in place using two hard top bolts. The bottom of the bag is not secured to anything at all.

Ah, definitely for lightweight items only then. Thanks!
