Stinger Heigh10 external amp

Anyone have any good luck in adding an external amp to your Heigh10 head unit? My Heigh10 head unit is working in my 2018 JL and now I would like to upgrade the speakers and add an external amp. In working with the installer, he commented that a DSP is required and unfortunately the brand(s) they use are backordered for several months. Looking to see if there are alternatives.

I'm running a Heigh10 with external amps. It's no different than running an external amp with any other head unit. You can use a DSP but you don't have to. I do, but the Heigh10 has some basic EQ, timing, and XO functionality, so you could get by without one.
