Nah, here is another reply

“VIN is 1C4HJXFG3JW191540. Would love a update. Thanks
You are 788 in the gateline. So your car should enter the body shop sometime tomorrow.”
So since mine has been awaiting scheduling for weeks but my wife’s is already assigned a vin... I have my von think he could tell us why we aren’t getting vins on this color but other custom builds are getting vins assigned in 48 hours?

Wouldn’t hurt to ask?

So they start yours in a week, takes 3weeks with no shortages and then 30-75 days to get shipped, 4 months if they ship storage units first...
Well I'm 5228 from gateline to body shop. I guess I'll be waiting a while

Your last 6 is 191540. My last 6 is 211658.

191540 < 211658

Mine doesn't even have a gate number yet.

Here's a quote from Sergio:

"Most of our vins right now are in the 190xxx region. I'd expect it to get a gate number sometime next week."

Now, might there be lower vins that come off the line later than higher vins? Sure, but I bet it's the exception to the rule.

Should just be a week or so, if they can keep their current production level.

I must have missed the basis for you saying it didn't. Can you please provide again?

Ok which would still be lower than mine, and right in line with the VIN number = production queue theory.

I'm not getting the disconnect we seem to be experiencing.

What if this is a big joke and Sergio is just some random guy, and FCA still can’t get the color to match on steel, plastic and aluminum... and that’s the hold up...

Well, he was the one that said that about the paint, in a public thread, but specific to Mojito. Metallics and pearls are notoriously difficult to match on plastic.

Dude I have had a few too many beers but I am pretty sure I’m not the crazy one here. My vin ends in 187790. I posted that he said mine would be late next week, then I replied that 191540 was starting tomorrow.

191540>187790

Ok fair enough. I did say roughly. I would think a vin starting production before another that is 4000 lower counts as roughly. To put it in perspective, my vin is 20,000 higher than both those. You guys are wringing your hands over which day of the week next week your Jeep gets built. I'm hoping I get a damn gate number next week. Our collective status' are in line with the last six of a vin being a rough guide to production queue.

If you want to disprove that, find a vin in the 200xxx + range that has a gateline number lower than yours. Or find a vin in the 190xxx range that doesn't have one at all.

Are you seeing it now? Have another one for me :champagne:
