So, I finally got to drive it. I've driven cars with ACC before, but never owned one. It drives really good, for a Jeep. It's not a Grand Cherokee, and the wind does move it around, a little, but overall, I am extremely happy with it. More or less, it will be a mall crawler, maybe a little off road, but i plan to own this for many, many years.

Well, they had to work on other cars, and since I work here. I get put on the back burner. It's done, I'm happy. Going to drive it for a little while on a D-tag before I buy it. Might as well save the money as long as I can.

just bought mine this weekend off dealer lot, really like the body color with the black and red accents, the hue changes depending on light level, looks darker at low levels, and in the sun it reflects and looks a few shades lighter. first jeep for me, love the ride, my son doesn't mind it either!

Good choice. I love the way the colors go together. I’m glad I did a black top. Gives it a nice transition of color.

Hi Folks,

I'm considering Sting Ray. Full on Sting-Ray fenders and roof. Caught my eye unexpectedly while I was deliberating on CGM or FR. Originally I had my sites set on Granite (or firecracker red). I've got all three possible to buy at a local dealer and the libra in me is making this very difficult.
One thing I heard is that stingray paint shows the scratches really well (or badly-use of the word). Any sting-ray owners who can comment on if the paint scratches super easily? I'm told its almost as showable as black. I didn't expect this news.

Otherwise, any regrets on your choice of Sting-Ray? It sure is dynamic in difference lighting, but I wonder if it's flat appearance leaves one wanting later on with buyers remorse.

Thanks
G

I love mine. I haven't gotten to enjoy it in full summer sun yet, and can't wait to do so. I can't comment on scratches on the SG. I don't really consider it a flat color. It's more "creamy" in my opinion, if that makes sense.
If you're planning on getting lots of scratches, have you thought of protective vinyl in those prone areas?

*Sting-Gray*

All paint scratches easily. It just is what it is. Its a Jeep. Embrace it haha

I don't think it scratches any easier than any other color of any other vehicle I've ever owned

I've had multiple black vehicles and I never felt troubled by scratches, it was just more of a curious element to me that why would StingRay scratch more than anything else?

I think the colour is really dynamic in the light. Red's pretty flashy (cool too), and the Granite is such a standard colour these days, and I've had one before in Granite (and in the Gecko Green).

I was just surprised to like the colour as I've never seen it up in person.

I’m getting mine wrapped in Xpel next week. Well, just the front end. Hate rock chips and big guts in paint. Until then, just have to not follow anyone close.
