I know for NYC people, "upstate" is somewhere up the Hudson from the greater populus, or usually near Albany, but I have a place in Northern Adirondack Park near Saranac, and ~that~ is what "upstate" is for me... Reference is everything! And it's all still south-of-the-border from me here in Canada. Still haven't seen any JLs while driving upstate, only on the lot at dealerships...

I think a common trait of Upstaters, however they define themselves, is that they like space more than they like crowds... So if we all have different geographies, that’s fine by me!

PS: Same here, haven’t spotted any JL outside of the local dealer lot, though to be fair I may simply not be very good at spotting them (the only features that really jump at me quickly are the rear lights and the newer colors; if I drove past a black JL and a black 2017 JK I’m not sure I could tell them apart at a glance).

I’m about 20 minutes from Saugerties and Woodstock, but up in the mountains, surrounded by nothing but trees and birds... Which is just the way I like it!
If you’ve ever hiked some of the trails up Platte Clove Rd, I’m in that general area.
Sadly I am only there 2 days a week as I still have to be a city girl 5 days a week until I mastermind a different way of life.

I actually know where you are talking about.. Love it there! I'm working my way around here trying to find some decent trails.

I would consider Albany 'upstate' not quite as upstate as you are though. I'm actually planing a little trip up your way for some hiking and hopfully find a trail or two!

Everybody says it’s worth it, so I won’t repeat them. All I can say is that when it’s over it will feel like a blur. Just bide your time on here and aftermarket websites.
I waited about 7 weeks. Been driving it about three months and still grinning.

So I still haven’t seen a Sting Gray JL in real life, but this week alone two different people told me that they did and that it looks absolutely fantastic!!

And they were both owners of red Jeeps (one JK, one JL), so not necessarily predisposed to like grey.

Can’t wait to see one —preferably mine...
