My brake pedal feels a lot different from what I’m used to. They work fine, but seems spongier somehow. I’m gonna drive it a while, and see if it’s just because it’s a vehicle I’m not used to yet, or if it needs checking.

I don't feel that way at all. You may want to have it looked at. To me it's pretty firm.
