I'll be honest I've never actually red the owners manual in depth for any of my vehicles. So you can actually go from transfer case N to 2 H per the instructions using only transmission N, engine off?
Well maybe with the exception of that time I was on the side of a mountain in Colorado, in the rain trying understand why our '11 Grand Cherokee wouldn't shift into 4L, by the time I got it figured out, we needed to get off the mountain and back on the road.
That said though, shifting the transfer case on a Wrangler is a manual mechanical process likely designed so as prevent accidental transfer case shifts into full neutral or 4L.
