So I have the Mopar lifetime max care service plan ($100 ded) on my 2018 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk Hemi. Back in 2018 that cost $2800. Last month my Jeep dealer replaced a leaking radiator under the warranty, that with labor, would have cost just me over $1k. With just one out of warranty repair (the only issue it's had in 76k miles), I've gotten 1/3 of the warranty cost back. No dealer hassle or problems- just had to wait a few days for the radiator. YMMV, but I think factory service plans are worth it if you plan to keep your vehicles, as I do. The OEM radiator alone was about $700.

In the contract it says they use reman parts. Was the radiator new or reman?

My plan/contract does not say that. In my case the radiator was brand new.

The way a lot of people say the factory warranty is voided I would not buy their extended warranty. I purchased an extended warranty from the dealer that is used locally that I have more faith in. Cost was about the same and the coverage was about the same. It kind of depends on your dealer.

The point of the warranty is not for towing...it's to cover the $10k repair bill. Use your insurance company for the tow. Yes I know the warranty claims it covers roadside assistance but I don't think i've ever come across a warranty of any kind that actually does that well.
And getting reimbursed for a breakdown? It's been a few weeks and two emails to the warranty company and <crickets>.

I have 2 Wranglers that I purchased brand new, and both have the Mopar Max unlimited mile life time warranty. 2016 JKU Sport and a 2018 JLR. Now the JLR other than paint has given me zero trouble (knock on wood). The 2016 Sport has had about 6,000 dollars worth of work done to date. Each time I have just paid 100.00 deductible. The big one was the Uconnect went out and cost over 2,200 dollars, I paid 100. 2 months ago the oil filter housing went out, I paid 100.00 when I seen the bill for warranty work it was 1,500. So yeah worth every penny to me. Oh, and the 2016 has never seen mud, the wife won't let it. Both warranties cost me 2,500 each. Some would say I over paid but I don't care, the 2016 has made up for it, and we plan on keeping both Jeeps for years to come. My wife's last SUV we had was 12 years old before motor blew.

So.. you're the reason we can't buy the lifetime Mopar warranty any more ?

With my insurance company, I just hand them a bill and they hand me a check. I have no idea how it works with MaxCare because I have no interest in using the warranty for that. Like I said, the warranty is for the bill from the dealer.
