Cherokee KL was a stopgap cobbled together using an old Alfa Romeo platform.

Cherokee competed in one of the toughest segments, was overpriced, not very competitive, and FCA had been building it for 6+ years with few updates.

Cherokee sales were in a tail spin under growing pressure from more modern, more efficient and more affordable competitors.

Stellantis should revamp the Cherokee to be a Bronco Competitor. Have IFS and solid off road prowess but leave wrangler in its SFA off road space.

I actually love this idea. Bring back some of the off-road prowess we had with the XJ.

Yea. I mean, to be completely fair here....

I have no idea why ANYONE would buy a Cherokee. None. Everything it does, a Toyota Rav4 would do better, possibly for a lower price, and it'll last way way way longer.

I actually love this idea. Bring back some of the off-road prowess we had with the XJ.

I also love the idea. My first Jeeps were a new 1995 XJ (Moss Green) and then a new 1999 XJ (Chili Pepper Red). <—-remember those names? Loved them both. Trailed very nice and aggressively. Looked great clean and even better dirty.
