Anyone think anything substantial for Jeep, specifically Wrangler?

Guessing 4xe Gladiator, probably 4xe Renegade and slight possibility of Grand Cherokee L 4xe. Doubt there will be any Wrangler specific news unless they have a full ev version in the works.

I agree - it would be great if they could increase the capacity of the 4xe battery w/o increasing its weight…but that is several years out I suspect.

The Magneto is a cool idea and a cooler name, but I feel like the range is too low for what will probably have a very high price tag. I think the expectation is like 150 miles? I know it's a brick in the wind, but people already get EV range anxiety with 300+ mile cars just because of how sparse chargers are.

https://evday2021.webstream.fr/webcast/ and going on right now.

You're not going to see anything model-specific. This is all about the goals, and the platforms they're going to be using.

"By 2025, 98% of our models in Europe and North America will be electrified." - Carlos Tavares, CEO ("Electrified" seems to mean "we'll offer a hybrid or EV version.") "

Mostly looking for GMET6 info - to achieve hybridization (iz that a word?) in the 1/2 ton Ram, Gladiator, & Wagoneer they will need more than a 4 cylinder powerplant. Something akin to what Ford is doing w/ the 'Powerboost'.

They are showing an all ellectric 4Dr Wrangler now

They also said all 4xe's 'sold out' for the rest of the year?

4 new EV platforms = 3 unibody, one frame
'New Midsize pickup'
