Just out of curiosity, has anyone with a 392 swapped to another steering wheel without the paddle shifters on it?

I've seen that people add paddle shifters to existing steering wheels, but I've never seen it done in the opposite direction. I'm mostly wondering if the vehicle would throw an error at you or anything, or if you would require an update via JScan or Tazer to tell the vehicle that it no longer has them.

Curious why you'd want to?
Well, if I decide to accept delivery of my 392, my first "project" is going to be getting rid of all the bronze/brown/chocolate stitching on the interior. I absolutely hate it.

Paint pens won't do much on darker colors unless you just go straight to black. The other option I was mulling over was just finding pieces from other trim levels with the white stitching and just replacing them.

But, seeing as the 392 has that unique steering wheel, that's the one hangup I could see with that idea.

I hated all the bronze/gold until I got my 392. I have grown to like it on the emblems etc but I did remove the gold front and rear tow hooks.

I agree with Viking Jeeper, I was on the fence about the accents but when I saw on at the dealer ship I was sold on the accents and the sting gray color

I understand, but to be blunt, I don't want to get a vehicle this expensive and just hope that I one day learn to like it. I've been in several of them, I've seen it myself, and it's not for me.

I know. That's what I drive now.

Again, I'm asking about ECU errors. Not asking for alternative solutions.
