First of all, this is not about loose steering. I don't have the loose steering like some. My Jeep steering feels quite good. The vehicle tracks nicely down the road and will gradually veer to the right, as it should depending on the amount of road crossfall the lane has.

This may just be my OCD.
I have included a few pictures to show the position I need to hold the steering wheel in order to drive straight. Is this the same as the yours?
In the pics I am driving in the right hand lane with a typical crossfall.
If I drive in the left lane (opposite road crossfall) I then hold the steering wheel horizontal.

The dealership checked everything this morning. Alignment, tire pressure and test drive. They tell me it's within spec and couldn't find anything wrong.
Again, this is not a big deal. the Jeep doesn't pull. Tracking is ok and tires are balanced.

Live with it or get a second opinion?
Thanks

Easy fix without going to an alignment shop, you just need to adjust the drag link. Take a 15MM wrench and loosen the clamp on the drag link. To move the steering wheel to the right, rotate the adjustment clamp down. Have someone watching the steering wheel until it moves back to center, then tighten the clamp back up.

Thank you.
I found this YouTube video showing the Drag Link adjustment on a JK model.
Will it be the same thing to look for on the JL.

Thanks again.

If this only occurs when in the right lane due to the lanefall I don't think adjusting the drag link would correct this issue. When in the right lane then yes your steering wheel would now be horizontal, however now when you're in the left lane it would be tilted to the right.

I wrote above....when in in the other (left lane) the steering wheel is horizontal or still a little wee bit left.

Mine was just like that. I took it to dealership due to loose steering and the wheel being off. They told me they did an alignment and the wheel is now straight...... wish I could say the same for steering, still very loose.....

Just stay in the lane that it is level in and OCD problem fixed.

I had to check to make sure you werenā€™t in California. Thanks goodness because if you were, youā€™d lose all credibility. Our roads here are getting so bad I had to buy a rubicon just to get 10 miles down the highway.

Thanks for the answers and OP for asking...I have the same problem but the opposite side...never got around going to the dealer and get it fixed and forgot to mention it when they attempted to do my oil change correctly :giggle:

I'll give it a try this week. It is quiet annoying
