I'll be installing a Rough Country 2.5" lift with the shocks tomorrow. When the lift is done, im putting on some 35x12.50r17's on there..
I realize that I'll be driving on borrowed time as far as steering and axles go..
Looking at upgrades, it looks like steering will be easier and cheaper to begin with.
What's a good steering setup for my 20 Sport?
I'll only be off roading this thing a few times a year.

Nobody has any suggestions?

Can I just upgrade the track bar & go from there?

The track bar is actually part of the suspension. With a 2.5" lift, yes you definitely want to install an adjustable front track bar and either an adjustable rear track bar or rear TB relocation bracket.

Upgrading the steering is always a good idea, even more so the bigger the tire you have. The stock stuff looks beefy, but its all hollow tube. The good aftermarket stuff uses thick wall and/or solid tube with stronger tie rod ends.

I personally use the Synergy tie rod, drag link, and TB/Sector Shaft brace with 37's. My steering is smooth and consistent, even at 90 mph.

When and what you upgrade with will depend on your budget.
