I tried to put in a reimbursement for the heck of it on my RC stabilizer and it won't submit when I hit the submit button. LoL

They probably promoted the techs who do oil changes that put in 6 quarts instead of 5 quarts to change steering stabilizers.
Maybe they think front of the vehicle means putting it in front, probably looked for a place to put it on the back differential but there weren't any brackets :(

For those of you that had the FIX. How long was it until you no longer saw the recall on your PORTAL. My dealer fixed it this morning and I've yet to go pick it up and still see on my JEEP Page that its INCOMPLETE./
A couple days and it said fixed on the Jeep app for me

So far s9 good. I think it made a big difference in mine honestly. Makes me wonder how good it could be with a better one and a steersmarts setup.

I just dropped mine off to get the console latch fixed and the steering damper replaced. It's not scheduled until Monday, so I'll let you guys know if I can tell a difference. I had NO steering issues before, so we will see.

First 6 quarts, now this. Upside down. Thank you to this forum for identifying this issue.

Also, reference the pdf install. My tech definitely over torqued the bolts. 51 and 59 foot pounds I believe is the correct spec.

I was going to try for reimbursement on my rancho steering stabilizer but someone posted that they will not be reimbursing for aftermarket parts.
Jeep only wants to reimburse you if you wasted money with them trying to fix their problem then they’ll give it back. if you spent money with somebody else to fix their problem tough luck.
Of course we had to buy aftermarket parts to fix the problem jeep didn’t have a stabilizer that worked obviously that’s why they have a brand new one. So we couldn’t have fixed it using Jeep parts.

dropped mine off this morning to get the V41. I was getting 11-1 play in the steering wheel at high speeds. Later started feeling a wobbly feeling around 70mph+

Unfortunately, I understand why Jeep won't reimburse an aftermarket part. If you later have an issue with the aftermarket part or it fails, there could be an implied warranty from Jeep on that part since they reimbursed you for the "fix". Tongue in cheek here but Jeep has not certified any aftermarket parts to resolve the issue though we assume the new OEM part does fix an issue. An owner could sell their Jeep within warranty and the 2nd owner may want the new OEM part versus some offbrand Ebay version where Jeep reimbursed the first owner.

Ok, holy shit is my steering tight now! I can't tell the difference between my JL and my JKU now. I, personally, didn't have an issue with my steering. The "play" in the steering was fine with me. Now, the steering responds quickly. Also, they replaced my console latch and it's really tight too. No clinking or shaking.

Overall, @JeepCares , I'm pleased with the damper even tho I felt the previous damper was fine for me. I'm glad Jeep did listen to what the consumers were saying a took this positive step:like:

Just had mine replaced, upside down as well. How on earth can they put it on upside down with an arrow to show the proper orientation?
