Got the same steering damper recall, few days ago for my 2018 JLUR. I have no steering issues.
I'm debating getting it done; my only local dealer, is suspect for ANY service. The next closest is 2 hrs away.

Same here as I don’t have a problem. My dealership is about 3 miles from me but worry they will mess something up.

It's the thing that FCA claims will solve the "death wobble". I got the recall too... I don't have any issues with wondering or anything though.

Me too (thru Jeep app). My build date was 06Dec2018. I have no issues with my steering so I think I will ignore the recall for the moment. But I will just ask my dealer when they contact me for scheduling to replace my broken console latch:facepalm:. "If it ain't broke..." That philosophy applies here:like:

If you DONT get it fixed and a later accident is determined to be caused by this part and you knew about the recall and chose not to do it.... are you insured?

I wonder the same, if you are notified of a recall and don’t take care of it, you may loose protection in the event of an accident or issue in the future...

Do you think insurance will pay when people knew about all those defective airbags? Yep they did and do. There are no reported accidents from "death wobble". You can Google this yourself for the source (also iihs said so in an article). People just get scared and don't like how it makes them feel.
