It's like he is walking you through delivering a baby in 2 months time
Sounds like Alexander is as blissfully unaware of the EPA’s role in this scheduling delay as most everyone else at Jeep. D1 will happen within a few days of the fuel economy numbers being published. Same as we saw with the Gen3 3.0 1500.I'm still in D status
I got a really nice response from Alexander from Jeep Chat though
"I am sorry for the disappointment here Nihkole. I can tell you I dont see anything holding up assembly, at times it can take awhile to move from one status to the next. Scheduling is arguably one of the most important steps and sometimes as simple as a storm can add days in a status. Everything looks good so far! Coming along normally"
Well that looks a lot more official than “my dealer said so”. Thanks for killing any last shred of hope that production might start sooner lol. I guess the Jeep chat and phone-CS folks will be happy to not hear from some of us for a few weeks.I know this is probably old news to most all of us who wait for our builds to begin but is this the source of the November 25 production start date?

Chat with them anyway. Gotta have a hobby while waiting for the build.Well that looks a lot more official than “my dealer said so”. Thanks for sharing that. The next 20 days I will be like a 10 year old waiting for Christmas.I know this is probably old news to most all of us who wait for our builds to begin but is this the source of the November 25 production start date?

I have previous EcoDiesel 15 Grand Cherokee. It has been great. 83xxx flawless miles. If the JL is as good as my WK2 diesel. I will be happy for years to come.I wonder what kind of timing it will take as far as quality control. They know the stigma of the previous EcoDiesel and I assume they want to get this right on these first production units.
