Finished adding the SSV Works 6.5" Speaker Adapter with Sony XS-R1646 Speakers. Just for everyone’s situational awareness, 4 hours total to finish. The instructions from SSV are pretty clear. I repurposed the existing hexagonal screws instead of using theirs. Also, I had a white wire (positive) and a dark gray almost black (negative) wire that I was not expecting as I was using someone else’s DIY where they stated different color wires were present. Anyways, my speakers don’t crack anymore at 24 or higher and the sound is so much better. I also added the kickers in the dash and changed out the crappy 5 inch for the 7 inch Uconnect.
