Does anyone else have a squeaky steering wheel? Particularly in colder weather. This is a short video of my wheel. You might have to turn up the volume. I’ve taken it to the dealer but they say they can’t replicate it. It is admittedly an intermittent issue. Vehicle is essentially stock with no mods anywhere near steering system. Thanks.

Doubt there is any correlation, I have major wandering and no squeaking. I discount the cold weather theory as if the temp affected the steering it would be across the entire production...not just a small percentage of us that have this issue.
........but then again, there is no problem it’s all our imagination

My wheel only squeaks in the cold, but the wandering on the highway has no correlation to temperature.

Mine does the exact same thing when cold usually around 32 or colder. Goes away when warm. I'm assuming its something to do with the cold steering shaft and steering wheel plastic. Its one of those annoying things that the dealer will never be able to recreate so I never even tried to ask them. I'm hoping after some miles on the jeep its breaks in and goes away. I also might try and squirt some white lithium grease or something between the steering wheel.

Bump. Happened in my 21 today as well (it's 38 degrees today, FWIW).
Any recommended fixes here (you know, besides moving to FL...)?

Alright, granted it's on a TJ forum, but could be helpful anyways:
https://wranglertjforum.com/threads/squeaky-steering-wheel.15364/

The sound from the TJ is different (lower vs high pitch) bit the issue of a rubber grommet becoming more solid in winter makes sense.

Some recommend fixes were white lithium or silicone spray (but issue comes back once a year).

One poster said that silicone grease (applied with a toothpick) instead of spray seemed to work for longer.

If it bugs me enough the next few days, I'll try to see exactly where it's coming from and hit with some white lithium.
