Life started as a basic sport s package. The end goal is a functional overland/base camp build. So far this is what’s been done up to this point in time.

1. Rubi suspension, wheels/tires, sliders.
2. Smittybilt XRC gen 2 front/rear bumpers.
3.Smittybilt X20 12k winch w/synthetic.
4. 1/2” spacer up front to make up for the added weight.
5. Rhino Rack Backbone with pioneer platform and full rail kit.

I’m to the point I’ll need tires in the next 5k miles or so and am really leaning towards giving the Kenda Klever R/T’s a try. I’m also running out of suspension with the additional weight that’s added when camping but somewhat not wanting/needing to go to 35’s So trying to gather info on similar build running a 33x12.50 and an overland style lift that I don’t need to swap wheels for do to backspacing.

That’s a sweet setup. I have almost the same get up of now. Minus the smitty brand and back bone. I went with the Maximus-3 / rhino rack. Running a roam
RTT. I was bumping and bruising my
Way around on moderate trails with s the gear. I am currently waiting for my 2.5” lift as I didn’t want to be to high but I did want to stop scraping everything. I’ll be keeping 33” rubi take off until they go bald and then I’m fighting going to 35” just for the extra clearance. I also started as a base sport s. I added a pic of my Jeep as it is now before the lift.

Looks solid man! What lift did you end up going with? Anything with a heavier spring for the weight I’ve found looks like I’ll be needing to change wheels do to backspacing. I really don’t want to go that route if I don’t have to‍♂

Jack, great build! I’m partial to black Jeeps, as mine is black and built. My wife’s is billet silver. It’s...pretty. ;)

All I have to say is Jack, in that rig, I’m sure your are nimble and quick! ;)

i have on order the JKS mfg 2.5" lift with the HD springs front and rear to help with the weight of the bumpers and RTT. ill be keeping my take off rubi wheels and tires for now. i might go with synergy spacers if i need tires before i find a set of rubicon take off wide axles with lockers. if i manage to get a set before then i should be fine running 35's without spacers. i will take alot of pictures of before and after the lift install. just waiting on parts lol.
