Speaker started making weird static sounds while going over bumps. Help?

My driver side upper dash speaker just started producing short bursts of relatively loud static noise while going over bumps or choppy pavement. The first time I heard it I thought a light had come loose from my roof rack and was bumping and rubbing against the window frame!

I haven't done a whole lot of testing, but so far I've only heard the sound when the radio volume is turned completely down. Clearly something is shorting out or there's a loose wire somewhere, but I have no clue where to even begin to poke around.

Any help is appreciated!
