Installed the Rough Country spare tire relocator bracket and hate how I can barely see out the back window. Looks like there is still 3-4” of clearance between the tire and bumper. Is there an option anyone would recommend that holds a 35” tire with the steel bumper that doesn’t block the rear window?

Some pics for your troubles. Thanks in advance for your recommendation.

I have been looking at several options for a couple reasons...

One, After installing new 17"x8.5" wheels with a bit less backspace (5.2") than the OEM Rubi wheels, I have about an inch between the tailgate bump stops and spare. I am using temporary bump stop extensions but do not like the idea of that weight cantilevered away from the tailgate more than absolutely necessary.

Second, Even with OEM wheels using 35" KO2's, the backup camera was showing more tire than I liked-now with new wider and less offset wheels, it is really bad. The product I keep coming back to is the Teraflex adjustable bracket, it fits with Mopar's tailgate reinforcement and OEM mounting points-it is adjustable vertically and for depth. The camera mount is also just a bit longer than OEM, so should see more of what is behind you and less of the spare! However I would want to modify the OEM CHMSL to work with it, personally not a fan of the stop light mounted in the center of the spare-but to each his own...In the morning I am going to take a close look at what I would need to mount the OEM CHMSL cleanly to the Teraflex and then likely order the Teraflex Adjustable Spare Tire Mounting Kit.

Thanks, I’ve added this one to the list. Was looking for a cheaper option (sub $100).

I've read that the factory Rubicon carrier will work with a 35" tire & OEM steel bumper. Is that not true?
Pretty sure it will but it depends on the combined weight of the tire/wheel. I believe it says 85lbs max.

For a while I had 315/70-17 BFG KO2's on factory wheels and had the spare on the factory carrier. It hovered a hair or two over the factory steel bumper. Here's a couple pics. 1st is above setup. 2nd is with the Teraflex Alpha on the highest setting.

Read your post but then looked at the pics and got sidetracked. What is the issue again ?
