Not from that area but spend a lot of time down there. My company has an office there, so may end up down there eventually. May be hitting the Tucson wash trail tomorrow.

Welcome to the forums.

You might want to check out this trail before you do the Tucson Wash. @camprats has it on his web-site. It includes the normal (FunTreks) Tucson Wash route and an additional loop (or two) through the Tar Wash. The Tar Wash portion is on my to-do list, just haven't made it there yet.

@Cypher ... almost forgot. Tortillas Mi Pueblito, in Mammoth, has great Mexican food. Eight of us stopped there last Tuesday after running the Sibley Mansion trail.

Added to the list! We love good Mexican food.

We may hold off on trails this weekend with so many places being out of gas. Going to call a few places in the AM before I head down there.

someone else had mentioned the tar wash trail. I downloaded the .gpx files today for it. I did a little more research on it, and may hold off until my undercloak skids are on before I try it. a few sports may drag with mine still being a stock JLUR.

I love the Gaia maps, with my Garmin glo2 and my iPad it makes one heck of an off-road GPS. with the Jeep as a hotspot, I can drop a load the map sections when I have service, and then when service goes out I still have full maps with waypoints. the GLO2 is much more accurate than even my phone GPS.
