Any interest in running the trail that day? Myself and another JLUR will be heading up there. It is a very mild trail that makes for a great day.

    ***Update:

    Where: Sourgrass Trail Dorrington, Ca.

When: Saturday 4/20/2019. Meet at The Arnold, Ca Ace Hardware Store parking at at 8:30 am (here we have cell reception, an actual address to find, and a large enough parking lot).

    Ace Hardware
    981 Blagen Rd
    Arnold, CA 95247
    United States

It is 11 miles, 32 minutes) from here to the trailhead. There is also a Chevron close by for those needing fuel.

Bring food, water, recovery gear, first aid supplies, and your sense of humor. The last is a requirement. It would help if you have deflators and means to air back up.

The Lube Room is an awesome establishment only a few minutes from the trailhead. We will be visiting at the end of our day.

Expect the trail to take about 4 hours to do with a group our size. I have 2 other jeeps coming as well. The trail is absolutely beautiful. Much of the trail follows the pristine stanislaus river.

We look forward to seeing you there. This is a go, rain or shine.

    Confirmed Attendees:
    1: It is I, Shenanigans.
    2: friend #1 (JLUR)
    3: friend #2 (JKUS)

Damn! I'll be in LA that weekend. I'm in for the next run or if the date changes. I've been wanting to run that trail.

    Excuses.......

I need no excuse at all to avoid LA. If Disneyland wasn’t there, I’d have no use for anything south of Carmel.

Tell me about it! Last time we went down there it literally took us 40 minutes to travel the last mile towards our exit.

Spot on... It's the wife's birthday and she wants to go to the happiest place on earth.

I'm in. I have recovery gear, air up/down gear, first-aid, tools, but no winch.

Yea I hear ya. I’m without a winch as well. I didn’t think I would be buying another Jeep. Some lucky dude has my warn. Along with my atlas, D60’s, arb’s, powertank, etc.... :( now it takes a lot of convincing my wife that I need all the same crap I had prior to meeting her. She doesn’t get it yet. At some point she will figure it out or I’ll make an executive decision. At least I’ll get thrown out into the garage where I can install all my new stuff.

I’ll put ya on the list.

I can’t make it (again). But at least this time I’ll be offroad. Checking out the Mammoth Lakes area. We’ll see what’s open.

I look forward to the next run! I’ll probably head to Frank Raines soon. I’ll post when I settle on a date.
