My stock battery is 3.5 years old, 42k on the clock. Is it time for a new battery, and if so how do I know if it’s the main or the aux?

It’s been giving me trouble starting randomly, sputters and finally kicks over. I checked the voltage at the main and it’s about 12.3v. I’ve also been getting weird electrical issues. Every start it tells me the aux switches are unavailable while battery is charging. The dash is always showing weird shit, like 999,999 miles. Or the menu titles disappear. Just random things.

What would you suggest?

Need to load test to be sure of good voltage. Also, replace both at the same time...

If you need to replace one battery, do yourself a favor and replace both. If one is bad it will start taking out the other. No point in having a new battery if the other is mostly through its lifecycle but not quite dead yet.
