I worked on sound proofing my roof panels today, took my time and it took me about an hour or so... never done this before just decided to take a stab at it...

Bought Qty. 2 of this:
Siless Liner 157 mil 15 sqft... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B78XGZX?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Apparently there are 2 rolls per pack, took 1 roll to cover the 2 freedom panels, left me 3 to do the removable hard top.

I also got these tools:
FCHO Car Sound Deadening Roller... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TV19PQF?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I think they turned out pretty good... haven’t testedyet to see if it’s any quieter.

Looks good. A few questions:
1) why did you choose the 157mm thickness over the thicker mats available?
2) did you trim it to finished size before or after installation?

I might could dig this if: 1) it actually made it noticeably quieter and 2) if there was a way to install them without all those wrinkles.

I chose the 157 mm thickness to make it easier to work with, as far as the trimming, I used one large piece for the base and then I trimmed up the edges with 2 inch wide strips. That way I could trim and make them fit as I went.

Any feedback on noise reduction yet?

That’s great - I’m mostly concerned
about the tamping down the heat, so that’s good to hear...

It’s actually not “wrinkles”, just the way the material is made
