For those interested here’s what the soundbar speaker harness looks like removed. You can see where they separate the 3.5 and 4 inch speakers.

For those that understand all of this would be interested to understand how and where the different signals are sent or split to the 3.5 and 4 inch speakers.

This shows the wiring for the base system. The wiring for the premium amplified sound bar is not spliced, it has totally separate wires from the amplifier to each speaker.

This shows that they are not different signals. The same signal is just being split into the two speakers but there is only one channel coming from the amplifier. I believe this is the base sound system as the alpine has different signals with individual wiring for each individual speaker.

Correct this is from the base system with the 7 inch connect.

I also find it odd the wiring diagram for premium system shows 8 different multicolored wires in the sound bar and all I have seen in there is black and white wires. Yes I have the Alpine Premium, with 8.4" and subwoofer. What is going on here? Do I have the wrong sound bar? Does everyone with the premium have the wrong sound bar? Did they just run out that day?

Some more pics in case this helps The color coding I see is on the speakers, connectors, or wires with a Sharpie I believe. Same on the other sound bar I have. The colors seem to match up with the diagrams posted in the forum and what Crutchfield provides.

Pics below are for the base system. I assume they did the same for premium system, but can't confirm. Black and white wires going in and they mark the colors on the wires, speakers, and connecters for the premium system too.

I took a pic of the wires going into my base system (2 pairs going in) and grabbed one from a premium system (4 pairs going in) from what I can tell

Wow, thanks. I didn't notice an 8 pin connector, I just glanced at it briefly, I guess I looked at it wrong. Also thanks for that premium pic. I guess they are color coded before the plug then all black and white in the soundbar.

That actually sucks as Premium owners can't really get a full range signal to after market speakers correctly. Base owners can bridge together or just cut out the capacitors if they wanted to.
