Has anyone had the pleasure of taking their new Jeep Wrangler jl Rubicon on the Rubicon Trail yet? If not, when do you plan on traversing the famous playground for which our favorite Jeep got its namesake? Summer is on its way, someone has to have this excursion on their calendar, right?

Absolutely, might be a few years though... in the meantime it will practice at Rausch Creek :like:

I'm getting a bit of armor and skids in place before bouncing on the big rocks, but I will give it a go.

I will definitely be taking my JL Rubicon on the Rubicon for sure! It will probably take about a year to build it up exactly the way I want it to be and then I will take it on the Rubicon when it is fully ready to handle everything that trail can throw at it! And hopefully by then I won’t be so shocked and bummed out when I get scratch or two on the trail! :)

We are about to embark on our 7th trip to OBX from PA (~800miles round trip). 2 adults, 2 kids, and 2 60lb dogs. When we get to destination, doors off and life is great. No issues for us cruising at 70mph. Others mentioned crazy wind making the driving experience a little stressful and I agree. Overall adds another positive element to any road trip you take IMO.

Still haven't made the 15 hour drive to get there.

It will be a two week adventure for sure. Getting time off is the issue, and when I do we still have the Grand Canyon, Zion Park, Ouray, and even Moab still ahead of that rock pounding.

Hoping to have my trailer this year, and then I'll be able to bring more camping gear. Not that I'd want to haul the trailer through the trail but it would let me camp more while seeing California. :dunno:

Does doing it in a TJ a couple decades ago count?😏. JL’s not been that far west, yet..
