"Some apps are currently unavailable" Uconnect message

I've been intermittently getting a message that says "Some apps are currently unavailable" on my new 8.4" Uconnect. Now it seems to happen more often than not. When the message happens I can access multiple apps, including Off-Road Pages, Marketplace, etc.

So far, at least 3 of us on the interwebs are having the exact same issue: all 2020s with the 8.4ā€ Uconnect. @JeepCares , can you share how to do a factory reset on the 2020?

2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited
I know I'm not in the right vehicle section, but I stumbled onto this today. I have a brand new 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with exactly the same problem.

I've had the vehicle a week and very disappointed in this issue and getting bounced from Jeep, to Sirius XM Guardian and the Dealership. No one appears to want to own this issue. I just feel "better" knowing it's not just my Jeep.

@kalaban, thanks for your reply. It seems that this is a 2020-specific issue but it spans Jeep vehicles. I wonder if other 2020 FCA brands are affected as well.

@JeepCares, I submitted a Case through FCA. My reference number is 68231736. Let me know if I need to submit something else.

I just purchased a 2020 Cherokee Trailhawk. I am having the same problem. I have contacted Uconnect and have created a new case number.

My 2020 JLUR with the 8.4ā€ is also having this problem.
I just purchased a 2020 Cherokee Trailhawk. I am having the same problem. I have contacted Uconnect and have created a new case number.

I'm sorry to hear about your Uconnect concerns. I've spoken with Uconnect engineering about this. Please make an appointment with your dealership and have them do a hard reset to your system. This should stop your apps from going offline. Please let me know if you need any assistance with this.

It's going to be difficult for me to make an appointment with a dealer. I know that some Uconnect models allow a hard reset via the interface. I have tried all the procedures I could find on YouTube (hold finger on upper right corner, press up and down heat simultaneously, hold phone and speak for 30s, etc.). None have worked.

Surely there's a hard reset option for the 2020 Uconnect 8.4" that doesn't require a dealer visit?

Similar issue with my 7 (2019) this morning, but in addition to the above problems it went haywire. First the Android Auto was going crazy with Waze (kept re-centering and loosing it's place -though I imagine this is at the phone level?) but this was followed by the head unit changing radio modes randomly and then it opened it's settings screen and changed languages. After a complete power off, stop and shutdown followed by a restart, it seemed fine though I had to reset the language. Hoping it doesn't repeat itself.

Just picked up my 2020 1 hour ago. Same issue. Dealer did hard reset and fixed it but next time I got in the car they were not working again. @JeepCares HELP!

Did anyone who did the hard reset have success?
